THE SHIPPING QUOTE WORKBENCH
Compare your box quotes.
Bring your boxes and quoted rules. Find the difference before you book.
YOUR COMPARISON
The numbers, side by side.
Reports include your inputs, rules and every calculation.
Build your options
Use outer carton dimensions and gross weight including packaging. Enter 0 for a fee that does not apply.
KNOW WHAT YOU’RE COMPARING
No hidden assumptions.
These are estimates from the rules you enter. Confirm those rules against your written quote.
Parcel or shipment makes a difference
Per parcel: take the larger of actual and dimensional weight for each carton, round that weight, then multiply by box count and add.
Whole shipment: add all actual weights and all dimensional weights separately, take the larger total, then round once. Use this only if your quote explicitly bills this way.
Units, rounding & precision
DIM weight = rounded outer length × width × height ÷ divisor. The divisor carries its own units. Dimension rounding and billing rounding each use an explicit rule unit.
Display-unit changes preserve the exact original measurements. Calculations use exact fractions without intermediate price rounding. Quantities display up to 6 decimals; converted input values up to 9. Costs display 2 decimals, half up. JSON and CSV include exact fractions. Your invoice may use different rounding.
For example, 5000 cm³/kg is approximately 138.399523551 in³/lb. It is not exactly 139. No brand rule is assumed.
What is included — and what isn’t
Included: one linear rate per kg or lb, a shipment fee, a per-box fee, a total packaging cost and a fuel percentage on your chosen base.
Not included: tiered rates, duties, taxes, minimum charges, oversize, zone and any other surcharge you have not entered. This is not live pricing, an official carrier quote, logistics advice or a packing optimizer. Different currencies are never ranked or converted.
Privacy & your report
Inputs live only in this tab’s memory. This calculator makes no rate or exchange-rate requests, uses no tracking, and saves nothing to browser storage. Reloading or resetting clears your work. Export a report if you need to keep it.
Reports contain the data you entered, including source notes. CSV text is escaped to reduce spreadsheet formula risks. JSON keeps canonical measurements in cm and kg, with exact fractions for auditing.
